I love taking pictures of my family. I've had my current camera for over 2 years and I still love it, but after seeing pictures from Yvonne's flickr account and how beautiful the pictures come out...well, I want one of these for my birthday.

The one where I prep to go see the Dodgers!

We are going to go see a Dodger's game today. I'm excited because my brother is coming with us. I haven't seen my brother in over a month. My parents are out of the country for a couple of months and it's been a month and a half since they left and I just really miss my family. Yeah, I know that I'm married and I have a new family, but my old family is my original family that has known me since birth...you can't just gain that comfort in a couple of years.

The one where I swear that I do not complain...I swear!

Yesterday evening, I was asked to stay over at my job for a "little while," beyond my usual working hours.

First of all, my employer does not pay overtime and I'm still on an hourly basis. I could go salary, but I'm sooooo against it.

I work for the type of people that would take advantage of me if I let them. They have no respect for my time or my family, especially the owner of the company. He has no respect for anyone's time. He's often late to meetings and often makes the people who schedule appointments with him wait upto an hour to meet with him.

I open the office most days. I'm here at 8:30am everyday. I work 8 solid hours and take no lunch or breaks. That means that I am at their disposal for a solid 8 hours. What time do they choose to use me the most? In the afternoons when they're just barely getting warmed up for the day. Do they not realize that my noon is their 3:30pm? That I'm revved up and ready to dive into projects at 12pm, not 4pm? The funny thing is that they believe that I'm actually excited to 'start' working at 3:30.

I have a theory as to why they do not respect my time and think that I'm a workaholic like them. It's because they have such boring lives and really do not like their spouses. I'm sorry, but even if my company was my very own company...I really do have better things to do then sit at a computer and spend my time typing out this contract or that contract. Beyond 8 hours, I'm off their clock and that is considered "my time."

I don't know how to describe it but these traits and some other characteristics of one of my employers is really wearing down on me and I keep asking myself, "Do I really want to work with these types of people? Is the money really WORTH it?"

The one with the up and coming events...

This weekend we are going to see a Dodger game. Our seats are right behind home plate and I can't wait to see the players that up close. It's been ages since I've been to a baseball game.

Three weeks from now I'm going to Mazatlan to visit my parents for five days. My mom knows but my dad has no idea. He is in Mazatlan for ozone therapy for cancer. He's a cancer survivor of 12 years, but that doesn't mean he is cancer free. He still has cancerous cells that register when his blood is drawn. Luckily, the count of cancerous cells does not go up and since doing the ozone therapy his count has gone down. The doctors here in the good ole U.S.A are not allowed to administer this type of treatment because it is not approved by the FDA. Meaning they can't tax a gas, so why bother allowing it in the U.S. Right? So many people would be cured if we were allowed to do this here in the states, but the truth is, it all comes down to the all might dollar.

The second week of October the husband and I are going on a much deserved and really needed vacation. I can't wait! I can't wait to have my husband all to myself for 10 days. Oh yeah, did I mention, I have dogs and kids...so they take up a lot of our time although the husband is really good about making what he calls "Q.T. time," Quality Time if you didn't get what the Q.T. was...lol. Back to the vacation, we are staying in a hotel called, "Dreams." It's a total coincidence that my new blog is all about dreams and the hotel we are staying at is called "Dreams."

I think best of all, we are leaving the videogames behind. The husband plays videogames a lot and I believe that between videogames, television, internet, and life....we don't have as much sex as I would like. Oh yeah, our vacation will be called, "Fuck & Suck 2008." HA, HA, HA!!! Well the past three days do not count because we are 3/3...but it's because he's went away for two nights and we needed to catch up...lol.
